Isaiah Benjamin Aronoff lived a vibrant and meaningful life during his 18 years on Earth. Born on October 16, 1997, in Lansdale, Pennsylvania, Isaiah brought joy and energy wherever he went. He spent his early years in Hatfield, PA, where he was affectionately known as the “King of Hatfield,” a testament to his charismatic and magnetic presence.

Isaiah later moved with his mother to Fredericksburg, Virginia, where he attended Lee Hill Elementary and Thornburg Middle School. There, he began to cultivate his athleticism, running track at Thornburg and playing football with the Bengals and the Warriors. His journey then led him to Philadelphia, PA, where he lived with his father, Eli Aronoff, and continued his education.

After celebrating his Bar Mitzvah at Beth Sholom Temple, Isaiah and his father relocated to Silver Spring, Maryland. He enrolled at Northwood High School, where he blossomed both academically and athletically. A dedicated and passionate student, Isaiah became an active member of the Achieving Collegiate Excellence and Success (ACES) program. His love for sports only grew stronger at Northwood, where he excelled in football, lacrosse, wrestling, and track and field.

Tragically, on Thursday, July 28, 2016, Isaiah’s life was cut short in a fatal automobile accident on I-95. He was just two weeks away from beginning his college journey at Richard Bland College of William and Mary in Petersburg, VA. Though his time was brief, Isaiah’s spirit left an enduring impact on his family, friends, and the entire Northwood High School community.

He is lovingly remembered by his devoted mother and biggest supporter, Stacy Moore-Aronoff; his cherished girlfriend and “queen,” Inaya Chapman; his father, sibling, and the extended Northwood family.
